Two years gone

Not much to say today…or maybe, too much to say, just not up to saying it.

It helps to look at old photos and remember the good times.

  1. It does. As hard as it is to fathom… it does get easier but you have to endure the hard stuff first – and you will endure it.

Afterwards, the memories will be the things that make you smile whenever you think of him.

I’ve written about my grandfather who was VERY close to me several times… I thought I’d never be the same without him in my life and I never thought Christmas would never be the same (he died on Christmas morning in ’95) but things got better…

He will ALWAYS be in my thoughts and so I don’t forget him and now I think of him fondly and I smile when I do!

You will be fine… The Chief is thinking about you and while it doesn’t mean much… it does mean that I’m not the only one! So are many, many others – just lean on them if need be!

I’ll stop being so verbose now. My thoughts are with you.

  2. Chief, thank you so much for sharing the memories of your grandfather with me. It DOES help to know that I’m not alone, and that things do get easier with time. I guess we always feel these things most keenly during the holidays, when friends and family gather.
