No more pencils, no more books…

Today is my eldest child’s Last Day of School. Next week, she’s got final exams, but today is the last day of classes.

She asked me on Tuesday if it would be okay to have a few friends over on Friday to celebrate. I said, “Sure, why not?”

At last count, we have 18 kids coming over. Egads.

If you don’t hear from me for a couple of days, don’t worry–I’ll simply be buried under a sea of chips, dip, and pigs in a blanket.

  1. ROFL! I am so sorry for you. I know it will be a horrible, hairy, scary, loud mess. (LOL)

Sorry I’ve been behind on catching up on your blog! It’s been nutz here. The baby still won’t sleep, plus I am on Editorial Detail so I can send another project to the agent. Plus…Guy’s out of school…. *sigh*

So I sorta know what you’re going through, though thank goodness he’s only 8! (Does that mean the worst is still ahead…?)

  2. nah, Savvy, this is a fun stage, too. It was a cool party, and my daughter went to bed with a huge smile on her face.

I’m exhausted, but it was worth it. 😉
